See the announcement posted below: Ten Network Holdings Limited [ASX: TEN] have agreed to a merger of online dating businesses, RSVP (com.au) and Oasis Active ( bringing together two of Australia’s largest online dating services businesses.Oasis Active was launched in 2008 by co-founders Dave Heysen and Daniel Haigh. Oasis has substantial operations in Australia, as well as strong positions in emerging markets throughout Latin America.
It was acquired by Fairfax in 2005 and is now part of Fairfax’s Digital Ventures division.
Fairfax will hold a 58% stake, Ten 17% and Haigh and Heysen 14%.
The remaining 11% is held by minority shareholders.
The transaction is expected to complete on 1 July 2014.
